![]() On the car I'm restoring we have guessed that the center spacer probably should have had small protrusions on each side so that the nut can be tightened without the pedal assembly binding - our spacer is basically a thick washer now - no protrusions to ride on the bushings - so when tightened to tight - the pedals bind. Just a slight tweak of about an inch - nothing outrageous.
